There are many careers in technology, engineering, finance, health care, and many more that do not know how to write.  There is a need for someone to create training manuals, marketing publications, white papers, online copy, and anything else that requires the written word.  The technical writer is the person that does most of these writing projects.

The standard progression for becoming a technical writer is to get a bachelor’s degree in journalism or communication.  An English degree with a concentration in technical writing is also a popular route.  Classes can be taken in technical documentation, publication design, and graphics.  The good news is that most of the aforementioned can be taken via classes online.

Technical writers can earn a good living with a 2007 median annual earning of $62, 800.

Accountant jobs are growing in demand.

Accountants are in demand.  It is projected that the United States will be adding over 200,000 more job openings over the next 10 years.  That is an over 18 percent increase.  The good news is that you do not need to quit your current job.  You can pursue an accountant career online.

Many people think that an accountant sits behind the desk with a calculator and adds numbers all day.  Sounds boring.  However, many accountants solve problems concerning tax, investments, and earning concerns.  Besides, accountants and auditors have a good income.  Median annual wage for 2007 was $63,000.

One pathway to this career would be to get an online bachelor’s degree program in accounting.  After that, in order to get the better jobs, one would then get a master’s degree in accounting or finance.  This is also available by distance or online education.
