The Academy of Art University in San Francisco was founded in 1929 by artists for artists.  They state that 80% of their graduates are working in the art and design industry.  They are nationally accredited by ACICS, NASAD, Council for Interior Design Accreditation (formerly FIDER) (BFA-IAD), NAAB - Candidate Status (M-ARCH).  Online studies available.  Besides Computer Arts - New Media and Animation & Visual Effects, the school also offers courses in illustration, industrial design, architecture, graphic design, fashion, photography, fine art, motion picture and television, advertising, interior architecture & design.
